Obama's Defacto Amnesty Move

President Obama has halted deportation of people who were brought to America underage as illegal immigrants by their parents. Said people will now be able to apply for visas. This is a bold move, done without consultation with Congress. Obama and the Democrats seem to hope this will bring out the Hispanic vote. And it might. But this could horribly backfire for Obama and the Democrats.

The country certainly needed immigration reform, but for the President to do it like this, in an election year and without input from Congress, is just plain wrong. For him to do something so bold like that seems to suggest he thinks there's a good chance he won't be in the White House in January.
