Mr. Breitbard died unexpectedly young at the age of 43. Its always tragic when one dies this young, particularly has he left behind a wife and children. The sites founded by Mr. Breitbard such as biggovernment.com, bigjournalism.com, and bighollywood.com covered topics that the mainstream media often refused to cover, and in time, became a major force into themselves. Mr. Breitbart was a part of the internet revolution. As one of the earlier bloggers, he helped popularize the medium into a major competitor to the establishment newspapers, television, and radio news.

He was also a paranoid, racist bigot. Dude was an obstacle to equality and reason. I am not sad to see him go. No hate, I just don't care much. I appreciate however his contributions to the net.

DeleteI'm sorry to see anyone go, regardless of their political beliefs or my differences with him. He had children, a wife, etc that will be hurt by his passing. I'm sure we've all rankled a few feathers in our day, I would hate for people to celebrate my passing or your passing.
DeleteWe are human beings, first and foremost and that gets lost. And as noted, he certainly did have contributions that people all over the political spectrum should be able to view as positive. His contribution to the internet and blogging are pretty important. The fact that a blogger was able to make his blogs so prominent is very important, as a few big media companies attempted to monopolize all forms of media in the 90s.
