Occupiers need to step back a minute, and reassess their relationship to their host cities and to the rest of the country. A number of people in occupy are angry at the police for not letting people camp in Union Square. What they forget is that many other people use the Union Square area, for entertainment, shopping, to hang out, etc. There's nothing wrong with assembly in Union Square park, and interacting with the general public. But there is no right of occupiers to sleep or trash a park others use.
Occupy Wall Street's original message of economic injustice is being lost by constant fights with the police. Battling the cops all the time is not a battle occupiers can win. Also, at a certain point, the young people camping outside will simply have to start looking for work and finding normal housing situations.
Occupy, despite claiming to represent the 99%, has now taken on the form of a fringe movement or a cult. Members need to get back in touch with the mainstream, or else the movement will lose entirely.
